Fragrance Oil Mixture

The volume deals with several aspects of the chemistry of both synthetic and natural organic compounds related to flavours and fragrances. Fragrance oil - Fragrance oils, also known as aroma oils, aromatic oils, and flavor oils, are blended synthetic aroma compounds or natural essential oils that are diluted with a carrier like propylene glycol, vegetable oil, or mineral oil. Aromatic oils are used in perfumery, cosmetics, flavoring of food, and in aromatherapy.

Lorenzo's oil - Lorenzo's oil is a 4:1 mixture of oleic and erucic acid used in the preventative treatment of adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). This mixture of short chain fatty acids reduces the levels of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA) known to cause ALD.

Perfume - Perfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils and aroma compounds, fixatives, and solvents used to give the human body, objects, and living spaces a lasting and pleasant smell. The amount and type of solvent mix with the fragrance oil dictates whether a perfume is considered a perfume extract, Eau de parfum, Eau de toilette, or Eau de Cologne.

Two-stroke oil - Two-stroke oil is an engine oil intended for use in two-stroke engines like those in many lawnmowerss, scooters and auto-rickshaws. Since these lightweight engines do not feature oil sumps to collect and recycle oil like conventional engines, oil is mixed into the fuel mixture for distribution throughout the engine and is ultimately burned along with the fuel.
